surprise Hi all!

In Year Two we are working super hard in preperation for the KS1 assessments. To help your child achieve their best please would you listen to them read, help them with their homework and make sure they practise their spelling for a short while everyday.

This Half Term:

This Half term we are exploring non-fiction texts and will be using this knowledge to create fact files about things we find interesting. To help your child with this encourage then to find differences between fiction books (stories) and non-fiction book (information texts).

In Maths we will be looking at fractions of shapes and numbers. The children will learn how to 1/2, 1/3, 2/4, and 3/4.

Our International Primary Curriculum (IPC) topic this half term is Our World. We will explore what we know about our locality and compare with countries and cities around the world. We will be exploring how we can help look after our world and keep it healthy for the next generation.

Every morning we practise our time tables to make us amazing Mathmaticians.

100 Sight Words Collection for Children - Dolch Top 100 Words by ELF Learning

Learn the 100 Sight Words Collection for Children. The children in Bats use this for their Phonics and handwriting practise to embed the words. If your child does use this, please encourage them to join the letters.

In Year Two to achieve our End of Year targets all the children need to be making joins in their writing. The following website will help your child learn which letters can join and how to join them.
