  • Spellings are also given out on Friday and the following Friday the children will be tested.
  • PE is every Thursday afternoon. Children must come to school wearing their uniform and change into their P.E kits before dinner. All clothing (including shoes) should be labelled with your child's name.
  • Toast is £1 per week, please bring this on a Monday in an envelope.
  • Juice is 20p. Please give this to your child everyday if they would like some. It is their responsibility to look after it.

This Half Term:

English:

In English we are going to be using the stimulus of Paddington Bear to write exciting newspaper reports, postcards, letters and missing posters to help look for the lost bear! The children will be amazing us with their 2A sentences and use of similes to bring their learning to life. Use the hyper link to start getting some ideas!

Mathematics:

In Maths we are going to be continuing to practise our arithmetic skills and further develop our problem solving and reasoning skills in preparation of the SATs in May. Word problems seem to be tricky for our children so please practise at home.

100 Sight Words Collection for Children - Dolch Top 100 Words by ELF Learning

Learn the 100 Sight Words Collection for Children. The children in Bats use this for their Phonics and handwriting practise to embed the words. If your child does use this, please encourage them to join the letters.

In Year Two to achieve our End of Year targets all the children need to be making joins in their writing. The following website will help your child learn which letters can join and how to join them.
