The Digital Leaders
The Digital Leaders are a group of talented, highly skilled children who are dedicated in supporting both the children and staff of Marshfield Primary School within the Computing Curriculum. Supported by Mr Dunn and Mrs Kilner, the Digital Leaders were re-introduced in 2016 to support children from Nursery to Year 6 through the following activities:
* Creating and running an after school IPad club
* Testing new technology such as ‘Purple Mash’ and ‘Probots’
* Looking after whole school computing equipment
* Creating advice posters
* Working in partnership with the school council to deliver an Online Safety assembly
* Distributing certificates within Good Work Assemblies
The Digital Leaders play an important role within Marshfield Primary School as they are able to offer children practical help for general computing issues but also to remind children about online safety.
Do you have what it takes to become a Digital Leader? We are currently looking for children from all year groups to train to become digital leaders.
We have been helping children in other year groups how to use ipads. We showed them how to use Mathletics, Reading Eggs and Purple Mash.
Today we tested the new Probots in Digital Leaders club. We used the maps and probots arrows and numbers to move in different directions.
The School Council and Digital Leaders assembly
We teamed up with the school council to present an assembly about how to stay safe in school and online. In the assembly we talked about emotional and physical bullying. We also talked about never giving personal info out like passwords or email address or anything somebody you do not know wants to find out.
We have created a fantastic after school IPad club where other children can play on Mathletics, Reading Eggs and Purple Mash.
