School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

This year the School Council have been very busy and have kept an action plan of all that they are doing. Please see below.

School Council Blog

It has been a very busy year so far! I have enjoyed being part of the School Council and it felt amazing when I got elected by my class in September.

Since I have been a School Councillor, I have felt very important as I have been given lots of responsibilities. Every week, we have a School Council meeting to discuss any ideas or suggestions from children in the school. Some examples of the things we have been doing include:

  • Selling books to parents/ carers and the community for the library relaunch.
  • Selling cupcakes during the Macmillan coffee morning to raise money for the charity.
  • Selling poppies for Remembrance Day.
  • Delivering the reward bands every week.
  • Malaika and Usman collected money for Children in Need.
  • Delivered the school’s christmas cards.
  • Had a meeting with the school cook to discuss a new school menu.

Next term, we will be leading an assembly about Anti Bullying to help keep our school a safe and happy place.

Thank you for reading my first blog.
